Medical Board
Doctors and physician assistants.
Colorado check
A polished website is not a licence record. Get the exact names, then compare them with the state’s online licence records.
Match the role
Doctors and physician assistants.
Nurses, including nurse practitioners.
Pharmacists and pharmacies.
All sit within Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies, usually called DORA.
As of September 2026, the Colorado Medical Board licenses doctors and physician assistants, the Nursing Board licenses nurses, and the Pharmacy Board licenses pharmacists and pharmacies.
Claim sources: Colorado Revised Statutes and DORA board pages, summarized in GEO-CO-01, GEO-CO-02 and GEO-CO-03.
Use the state record
Colorado’s free state lookup covers medical, nursing and pharmacy licences, and it recommends starting with only the person’s first and last name.
Claim source: DORA licence lookup, summarized in GEO-CO-04.
Check the pharmacy too
Before any money changes hands, find out which pharmacy is preparing or shipping the medicine. If the answer changes later, check the new name too.
As of September 2026, a pharmacy outside Colorado must hold a Colorado registration before mailing prescription medicine to a Colorado patient.
Claim source: Colorado Revised Statutes, summarized in GEO-CO-17.
A match in the state records shows that the licence or registration exists. It does not tell you that a particular offer is right for you.
Read, then compare
If you find no match, stop there. Ask for the exact name the state has on record, and whether the person is a doctor, physician assistant or nurse practitioner.
