After a problem

Send the concern to the office that can act on it

Different problems go to different places. Pick the route that matches what went wrong.

First question

Is someone in immediate danger?

Use emergency help before forms or evidence gathering. For urgent health signs and the Poison Control route, open the health page.

Open urgent health signs

Professional conduct

Use Colorado’s Department of Regulatory Agencies (DORA) for a licensed person or pharmacy

As of September 2026, complaints about Colorado doctors, physician assistants, nurses, pharmacists and pharmacies can be filed with DORA’s Division of Professions and Occupations online or on paper.

Colorado licensing boards can limit or take away a licence, but they cannot award money, settle a fee dispute or bring criminal charges.

Business conduct

Use the Attorney General route for ads, billing or scams

Colorado’s Attorney General accepts consumer complaints about false advertising, deceptive business practices, billing, refunds and scams.

Medicine problem

Use MedWatch for a medicine problem

Patients can report a medicine safety problem directly through the FDA’s free MedWatch program.

Before submitting

Gather your papers in one place

  • Product label and packaging
  • Receipt and billing records
  • Care messages and instructions
  • Names of the person who prescribed and the pharmacy
  • A short timeline in your own words

Keep the originals. Send copies unless the office you are reporting to asks for something else.
